Our lovely hairdresser and beautician Chelsea was diagnosed with cervical cancer. This was hard for the salon, staff and clients as well as her friends and family. The mum of 2 continued to come to work and was extremely unwell some days. She was determined not to let her clients down.
After more tests, it was certain that there was nothing more that could be done. Andrea told her not to worry about her clients and stay home with her boys and family. Andrea supported her throughout but unfortunately the inevitable happened the following February. At a very young age. The funeral was packed out with people. The team went to the wake. Later that evening, Andrea opened up the salon so clients could come along and celebrate her life. They put up a photo, lit a candle and talked about the lovely Chelsea. A photo of the lovely Chelsea can be seen within the salon and reminds Andrea every day to keep pushing through. She was such an inspiration to those around her. Clients, team members, friends, family and most of all her two boys. She always went above and beyond for everyone around her and as a salon will continue to carry it through. She was such a character and was always happy to be at work. It was her passion. Except for nails. She didn’t like doing nails at all. The lovely beautician Leah who is a current staff member came in to do any nail appointments for Chelsea. Leah was one of her closest friends.
