Chapter 5 - My Inspiration Story - Deflated Moments.

Over the years of working for myself, I’ve lost the love of my job once or twice. It’s been more deflated moments. Due to staff complications, putting a lot of hard work in to be knocked down, a break in and Personal issues. I’ve always known that these things happen but you are never prepared for the feelings that come with them. At times I’ve felt like throwing in the towel.

Then I remember why I do my job, why I love it and what’s important.

Covid-19 has been one of these testing times. My family, friends and clients have been amazing with the help and support. It’s inspired me all over again.

I’ve also been in a Facebook group through lockdown with other salon owners, which is run by Hollie and Ryan from Salonology. Knowing you are not on your own and that there’s so much support around you has helped immensely. The positivity and support given by this group has got me through.

I have done a course with them in lockdown number 3 which has given me goals on a personal and work level. It’s given me focus on my business so it can be the best it can be.

I am excited to share these goals and the changes that I have made. They will enable all clients to have the best experience possible.

How many people have done their jobs for over 20 years and can still say they love it?

Me.
